This gopher frog, raised at Edenton National Fish Hatchery, is being released at the Croatan National Forest. The hatchery, NC Wildlife Resources, NC State University's Center for Marine Sciences and Technology, and the US Forest Service are working together to boost numbers of these frogs. The state of North Carolina lists them as endangered.
