Inactive Season Dates for Areas Outside of Swarming and Staging Areas

Inactive season dates for areas outside of staging/swarming areas – This document provides dates for each state within the range of the northern long-eared bat when the species is not likely to be present in forested habitat outside of fall swarming and spring staging areas. During the listed periods, the species is likely to be present only in or near hibernacula. In a few specified areas in southern parts of the species’ range, the species is likely to be present in forested habitat year round.
