A brown bear catches a salmon at Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Both bears and salmon have an incredible sense of smell. Salmon use their sense of smell to navigate, returning to spawn in nearly the same freshwater location where they hatched. Where salmon run, bears follow!
