Notice of Aerial Bird Surveys - Low flying aircraft in use

A notice of aerial bird surveys in Alaska. Data collected from these surveys will be used to monitor populations of Aleutian terns breeding in southwestern Alaska and inform a statewide abundance estimate.
Aerial surveys will occur June 4-July 6,2024. Surveys will be conducted at 500 feet. Coastal communities from Perryville to False Pass to Togiak may notice this survey activity.
