A team of researchers from Texas A&M AgriLife Research visited Inks Dam National Fish Hatchery July 28, 2020 to collect hatchery-raised juvenile mussels as part of a project funded by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Ecological Services. The team is studying how the extreme low and high flows that plague the San Saba River impact populations of rare mussel species and how climate change might exacerbate their struggle to survive.
