Coconino County Flood Control District

The Coconino County Flood Control District  is charged with minimizing the impact of floods on human safety, health and welfare and restoring and preserving the natural and beneficial values served by floodplains in Coconino County. As a governmental body, the District:

  • Conducts Flood Risk Assessments
  • Implements Flood Mitigation Capital Improvement Projects in FEMA Floodplains
  • Supports the National Flood Insurance Program
  • Conducts Post-Fire Flood Mitigation Activities
  • Supports Forest Restoration Initiatives
