The Georgia Aquatic Connectivity Team, or GA-ACT, is a partnership composed of 24 government agencies, academic institutions, and environmental organizations dedicated to reconnecting Georgia’s rivers for aquatic organism passage, by addressing barriers such as poorly designed or failing road stream crossings and derelict dams. In 2020, the GA-ACT published the Georgia Dam Removal Handbook and is currently revising Georgia’s Stream Crossing Handbook.
