Gorge Refuge Stewards

The Gorge Refuge Stewards are a non-profit organization, led by volunteers, who help the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service preserve and maintain the three National Wildlife Refuges in the western Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area (Steigerwald Lake, Franz Lake and Pierce National Wildlife Refuges). This volunteer group employs one staff member who works in collaboration with the Refuge to provide community engagement opportunities and volunteer coordination.
