Conservation districts work for the conservation and proper development of the state’s natural resources by taking available technical, financial and educational resources, and coordinating them to meet the needs of landowners and land users.

Conservation, Science, and Land Management Organizations

We often partner with non-governmental conservation organizations on conservation projects, whether it's to conserve identified species such as the monarch butterfly or to advise on land acquisition for conservation so that it has the greatest benefit for species.

Local Governments (city, county)

As a Federal agency we partner with local government agencies and share in the responsibility of stewarding management and recovery of species.

State and Provincial Agencies

Our hands-on stewardship and public engagement is often done in conjunction with state and provincial agencies.
