Missoula County Roads

The Missoula County Road Department is responsible for maintenance activities on approximately 451 miles of road which have been accepted for maintenance. Of these 451 miles, approximately 263 miles are paved and 181.5 miles are gravel. The division also has maintenance responsibility for 132 bridges (9 are pedestrian bridges), approximately 528 sumps and 337 culverts within the County right of way. The department operates and maintains one portable rock crusher, as well, which is used to produce the aggregate materials needed for road maintenance.
