Examples of Category 1 Allegations:
Category 1 violations may involve the following types of misconduct:
(A) Civil rights violations
(B) Extortion
(C) Offer or acceptance of bribes
(D) Theft of government property
(E) Misuse or embezzlement of funds
(F) Fraud
(G) Larceny
(H) Sale of or trafficking in illegal drugs
(I) Wildlife and Fisheries violations (50 CFR; 16 U.S.C.; 18 U.S.C. 42)
(J) Submission of false claims (18 U.S.C. 287)
(K) Concealment, removal, or mutilation of official documents (18 U.S.C. 2071)
(L) Conflict of interest (18 U.S.C. 207-208)
(M) Firearms law violations (18 U.S.C. 921, et. seq.)
(N) Discharge of a firearm in a manner that appears to constitute a violation of law, or Department or agency regulation pertaining to use of deadly force
(O) Use of official position for private gain
(P) Unauthorized use or manipulation for illegal purposes of a Federal computer and/or database (e.g., CIS, TECS, and NCIC)
(Q) Discrimination or sexual harassment between employees accompanied by violence, physical force or other egregious conduct
(R) Knowingly conducting an unauthorized search or seizure
(S) Misrepresentation, falsification, concealment, or withholding of a material fact; or refusal to testify or cooperate in an official inquiry, investigation, or other proceeding
(T) Off-duty conduct resulting in arrest, detention, or conviction for a Category 1 offense related to Government employment, or failure to report it to Service management.
(U) Theft of funds, valuables, and personal property of persons in Service custody
(V) Improper association/relationship with informants or known or suspected criminals
(W) Aiding and abetting in the commission of a Category 1 offense
(X) Failure to promptly report a Category 1 allegation of misconduct listed above
