The National Elk Refuge is offering a fun-filled event at Teton County Library, Jackson branch on Thursday, July 20th at 6pm in the Ordway Auditorium focusing on responsible recreation with pets. The emphasis for the evening will be on dog waste, which let’s be honest, is a huge problem in Jackson. According to a study conducted in 2003 by Teton Conservation District, the largest contributor of human-caused sources of E. Coli in Fish and Flat Creeks was dog waste. So, let’s work together to Scoop the Poop!
At Scoop the Poop you can:
- Practice your poop pick up skills in a Poop Pickup Relay Race
- Hone your poop disposal skills with Poop Bag Cornhole
- Learn about the importance of wetlands
- Make your very own Used Poop Bag Carrier
- Learn how your furry friend can become a R.U.F.F. Ranger
Although this event is focused on responsible recreation with pets, pets (unless they are trained service animals) are not allowed in Teton County Library.
