Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge Temporary Public Road Closures Associated with the International Boundary

Due to safety concerns resulting from the ongoing International Border wall construction and maintenance activities occurring along the barrier sections passing through the Buenos Aires NWR (BANWR) and Coronado National Forest, some public roads leading to and from the International Border will be temporarily closed to vehicle access.Closures will include those roads south of Garcia Road and campsites 84 and 85.Foot access for authorized activities on BANWR, including hunting, in the area will continue to be allowed.The road closures are anticipated to be in effect for two to three years while these Department of Homeland Security funded border infrastructure improvements are underway.
