Brigham City, UT – Today the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced the availability of a final Environmental Assessment (EA) for the construction of a new bunkhouse and demolition of the old bunkhouse at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge (Refuge). The new bunkhouse will provide safe housing for Refuge interns and seasonal volunteers and will be compliant with the American Disability Act.
The EA was available for public comment August 1-15, 2024, and only one public comment was received that was very supportive of the project. Find the final EA on the Refuge’s website at: https://www.fws.gov/refuge/bear-river-migratory-bird/library.
