Keeping the High Desert Green: Evaluation Outcomes of Mesic Restoration of Greater Sage-Grouse

We will evaluate changes in space use and brood survival of greater sage-grouse as response to mesic restoration efforts implemented by Oregon Desert Land Trust on their recently acquired Trout Creek Mountain Ranch. Using Before and After Control Impact (BACI) study design, we will leverage ~320,000 pre-restoration locations from GPS marked grouse 2013-2023 and compare them to grouse marked post-restoration 2025-2027.
