This project will consist of two main components, maintain and establish fuel breaks and fence installation, both of which serve to improve and maintain the health, connectivity and function of the sagebrush sagebrush
The western United States’ sagebrush country encompasses over 175 million acres of public and private lands. The sagebrush landscape provides many benefits to our rural economies and communities, and it serves as crucial habitat for a diversity of wildlife, including the iconic greater sage-grouse and over 350 other species.

ecosystem in key areas across the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe Reservation. The project occurs in core sagebrush and growth opportunity areas and efforts will help defend and grow the core from threats of wildfire, invasive annual grasses, and unmanaged grazing.
