The refuge provides enhanced opportunities to photograph a diversity of wildlife and the natural scenic landscape. There are many viewing platforms, and natural vegetation along the boardwalk screens photographers to minimize wildlife disturbance. All visitors must stay on trails and designated open areas. No props, costumes, reflectors, lights, or drones may be used. (Props may include, for example: stools, chairs, wagons, balloons, ribbons, confetti, dolls, stuffed animals, smoke, etc.) Commercial videographers must apply in advance at the office for a special use permit.
