There's plenty of wildlife to see at Featherstone. In addition to a diversity of bird species, white-tailed deer can be found browsing on vegetation in the forests, while beavers cruise the wetlands. Red fox, raccoons, gray squirrels, and other small mammals thrive here as well.

Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge provides opportunities for both the professional and amateur photographer. Shoreline, forest and wetland habitats provide excellent opportunities for landscape photos. For those interested in birds, Featherstone is a popular destination for migratory species...
