When water levels are above flood stage, large numbers of migratory waterfowl and wading birds can be observed using the habitat long the Ohio and Green River bottoms. An Indiana bat maternity colony has been located within the Conservation Partnership Area. This are is also known for a diversity in freshwater mussel species, including some federally endangered species.
