30th Annual Rio Reforestation
We invite the community to join the United States Fish & Wildlife Service and its many conservation partners at the 30th Annual Rio Reforestation Event, a community habitat restoration event. Rio Reforestation will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge's Milagro Tract. Together, we will plant 15,000 native seedlings on 15 acres of farmland. This event will also include educational information on native habitats, promotional items, and food/drinks, and interaction with our conservation partners in the Rio Grande Valley will be included. This is not just an event; it's a shared mission to preserve and restore our natural environment.
We welcome everyone who is passionate about nature and wants to contribute to preserve our planet. This is a great way to get volunteer hours and network with conservation agencies and it's also a fulfilling experience that will leave you with a sense of pride. Imagine the satisfaction of seeing the seedlings you planted grow into a thriving forest, knowing that you've made a tangible difference. So, mark your calendars and invite your friends, schools, and family to participate in this meaningful day. Let's make a difference together at Rio Reforestation and feel the satisfaction of contributing to a noble cause!
