Woman dressed warmly in camouflage and standing in marsh reeds aims a shotgun into the air

Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge offers numerous hunting opportunities. Public hunting for waterfowl and deer is available at the refuge’s Metzger Marsh Unit, which is adjacent to the Metzger Marsh State Wildlife Area. Four other public hunting areas are open for small game, upland birds, migratory birds and turkey. The refuge also administers controlled deer and waterfowl hunts in partnership with the state of Ohio. Controlled hunts at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge are open to those who have been issued a controlled-hunt permit from the Ohio Division of Wildlife. For more information about these opportunities, contact Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge: 419-898-0014 or ottawa@fws.gov. To apply for these opportunities, visit the Ohio Division of Wildlife website: https://ohiodnr.gov/.
