Trails
Hiking is permitted on Refuge lands, except for the farm fields, which are signed. Enjoy walking the roads or perhaps venture into the trees to the river where you may see birds or get lucky enough to see a bear crossing the river! There is a 1.3 mile "trail" loop in Sheppard bottom which begins at the observation tower and follows a levee through the trees, back to the road.
