In the fall and spring, enjoy the migration of thousands of tree swallows and hundreds of monarch butterflies. 

From fall through spring, look for birds of prey like the northern harrier, merlin, red-tailed hawk, coopers hawk, and the occasional snowy owl. 

In the summer, enjoy the singing of red-winged blackbirds, goldfinches, and cedar waxwings, and admire the piping plovers nesting on the beach from a distance. 

In the winter, look for migratory waterfowl like the harlequin duck, black scoter, long-tailed duck, and common loon.
