Recreational fishing is allowed by boat only on Snodgrass Slough. There is no fishing or boating access directly through refuge lands. Access to the fishing areas is from nearby marina; no boating access through the refuge. Bank fishing is prohibited to protect stream bank habitats and vegetation. Snodgrass Slough is especially popular for fishing black bass and striped bass, and other species include American shad, catfish, bullhead, sunfish and crappie. All fishing is regulated according to state and federal regulations.
