2024 Haying Opportunities

Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) and Wetland Management District (WMD) are offering 14 haying opportunities. Haying is used to manage grassland habitat by providing more diverse vegetation structure structure
Something temporarily or permanently constructed, built, or placed; and constructed of natural or manufactured parts including, but not limited to, a building, shed, cabin, porch, bridge, walkway, stair steps, sign, landing, platform, dock, rack, fence, telecommunication device, antennae, fish cleaning table, satellite dish/mount, or well head.

Bids must be RECEIVED (not post-marked) by 12 pm (noon) C.T. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Sealed bids must be mailed or hand-delivered to: Big Stone NWR/WMD 44843 County Hwy 19, Odessa, MN 56276.

Bidders will be notified of results ASAP, with haying permitted to begin as early as July 15.
