Cooperative Agriculture Opportunity at Modoc National Wildlife Refuge

Modoc National Wildlife Refuge near Alturas, California, has an opportunity for eligible and qualified applicants to conduct haying and cattle grazing on the Refuge. The term of the cooperative agriculture agreement will be three years, from August 1, 2025 through December 1, 2027.

Completed applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. local time on April 25, 2025. Completed applications can be emailed to stacy_freitas@fws.gov or mailed or hand-delivered, in a sealed envelope marked CAA Application, to Modoc National Wildlife Refuge, PO Box 1610 Alturas, CA 96101-1610. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered. 

Cooperator will be selected through an open and competitive process based on experience and ability. All applicants will be notified by May 20, 2025.
