Overview
Myrsine mezii is a small, many-branched tree in the Primulaceae (primrose) family with reddish brown pubescence on the branches and lower surface of the leaves. Its leaves are elliptic, the upper surface is glabrous, and the margins entire. Flowers occur in bunches of four in fascicles (bundles or clusters), arising on small woody knobs below the leaves. Immature drupes are about 5 mm (0.2 in) in diameter.
