About Miguel Garcia-Bermudez (aka Toño)
Miguel A. “Toño” García-Bermúdez holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in biology from the University of Puerto Rico and a Ph.D. from the School for the Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). His current title is Landscape Conservation Biologist, and he leads or supports conservation actions with partner organizations in landscape and wildlife/fish habitat seeking for relevancy to NGO’s, state, and federal agencies. Current work prioritizes vulnerability assessment and climate adaptations for species / habitats, State Wildlife Action Plans, and teaming with others in an interdisciplinary Caribbean Community of Practice to respond to challenges in the region with the overarching goal of benefitting people and natural resources.
