Scorpion Trafficker Sentenced for Lacey Act Violation
Darren Dennis Drake, of Eugene, Oregon, was sentenced to two years of federal probation, 250 hours of community service, and to pay a $5,000 fine to the Lacey Act Reward Fund. According to court documents, he unlawfully imported and exported hundreds of live scorpions. One package was falsely labeled as chocolates.
