Beautiful Blossoms
Beautiful blossoms can be found on regional national wildlife refuges. While the photos were taken at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, these plants may also be found on Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and other regional refuges. Below, from top to bottom Loblolly Bay (Gordonia lasianthus), Bitterweed (Helenium amarum) and Maryland Meadow Beauty (Rhexia mariana).
