Patricia Lane Evans is an accountant by day, and a local artist who never leaves home without a camera, a fresh set of batteries and a sketchbook. She loves to capture magical moments in time, an unusual cloud formation, a fleeting sunset, a dragonfly on a nearby flower, or a ship passing by in the harbor. Her dad showed her how to use his Argus camera when she was 12 years old and she was instantly hooked. She earned a Fine Arts Minor with a concentration on Studio Photography at Merrimack College while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has studied with Todd Bonita Rick Surowicz, and Dennis Poirier.
Since 2013, Patty's photographs have been featured in many solo shows. She has been Parker River’s Artist of the Month several times and her photos have been selected for multiple juried exhibits. Currently, eight of her oil paintings are on exhibit at the Lady Mary Inn in Wells, Maine. Patty's photos and paintings can be seen online at: https://www.patricialaneevans.com/ .
