 Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery Project Leader Kelly Taylor met with members of Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Nature Conservancy, USFS, and GADNR non-game division for microsite maintenance, monitoring, and cutting/ pulling Microstegium infestation.The bog is home to some rare plants and bog turtles that benefited from the area being cleared.This is an work day occurs every year in August once the bog turtles have had a chance to nest and eggs hatch out.Plans to use fire this fall are in the works.
