Wolf Creek NFH Provides Fishing Opportunity to Local Nursing Home

Written By

Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery transported 25 Rainbow trout to Signature Healthcare at Summit Manor where residents could try their luck at catching a fish! Hatchery Deputy Project Leader, Travis Collier, and Maintenance Worker, Joel LaRue, along with volunteers Charmaine Stewart and Mary Gilliam, unloaded the fish in a large tank set up just outside the facility and equipped each resident with a fishing pole complete with hooks, sinkers, bobbers, and bait!

Many of the residents jumped at the chance to catch a fish while others simply enjoyed being outdoors while watching others fish. Wolf Creek NFH takes pride in being being a community asset, and bringing joy to others. For more photos, please visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WolfCreekNFH.
