Fin Clipping at the Chattahoochee Forest National Fish Hatchery

State of Georgia fishery crew members came over to the hatchery to fin clip a raceway of fish before stocking them in December.Deputy Project Leader Joseph Helseth assisted the State of Georgia crew with clipping the adipose fin of 2,550 fish that day. The fish will be stocked in Lake Blue Ridge to help with the fishery in that lake.The clipping of the fins is meant to aid Georgia Fisheries biologist to receiving data back regarding stocking of the lake.
