On October 26, 2024, Main Street of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas was busy with little monsters, aliens, princesses, and many more costumes going up and down the Main Street sidewalks gathering sweet treats along the way. The evening air was permeated with the wonderful aroma of Fall leaves, wood fires and the festive foods wafting up and down the street.
Much of the local community participated in 2024 Spooktacular event in one way or another and the Mammoth Spring NFH did not hesitate to join in on the fun. The hatchery set up an informative display and provided the little goblins with an opportunity to catch a plastic fish with special hatchery provided fishing poles. The little goblins were allowed to play until they won (even if the win was host guided), which was rewarded with candy, provided by the Mammoth Spring Chamber of Commerce.
The event was a great success, with numerous people expressing interest in visiting the Hatchery, volunteering, and becoming friends group members. It was a busy and fun night. The Hatchery continues efforts to connect with the community and build important relationships.
