Sweetwater River Trail Repair and Reroute Happening Now

Construction has started to repair and reroute portions of the the Sweetwater River Trail, also known as the Interpretive Loop Trail, out of sensitive habitats. For detailed information, the draft environmental assessment for the Sweetwater River Repair Project is available for the public.

Trail work will happen in phases and the entire trail will not be closed. Portions of the trail that will be closed will be clearly marked on the trail by the construction crew. Access to the trail can continue to originate from the main parking lot at Millar Ranch Road but visitor traffic should maintain a safe distance from the construction crew during the duration of the project.

Work is expected to last until February 12, 2025 or might be completed earlier.
