Seal Beach NWR Research and Surveys

This activity was evaluated and found compatible on the Seal Beach NWR in 2011 when the proposed use was evaluated in an environmental assessment (EA) and accompanying Finding of No Significant Impact, dated September 30, 2011. These documents were prepared in conjunction with the Comprehensive Conservation Plan (CCP) for the Seal Beach National Wildlife Refuge (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service [USFWS] 2012). In accordance with USFWS Policy (603 FW 2.11H(2)), which requires the reevaluation of such uses every ten years, we have prepared an updated Compatibility Determination (CD) for Research and Surveys on this refuge. This use and its compatibility with refuge purposes is described in the draft CD.
