Urban habitat from brownfields to pollinators

Since 2014, biologists with the Lower Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office have been working with a variety of partners to restore habitat along the Buffalo River Area of Concern at a historic site called Silo City – home to our nation’s longest standing grain elevators. For over 100 years, this site had been plagued by invasive species invasive species
An invasive species is any plant or animal that has spread or been introduced into a new area where they are, or could, cause harm to the environment, economy, or human, animal, or plant health. Their unwelcome presence can destroy ecosystems and cost millions of dollars.
