Volunteer Position Overview
About This Position
During special events volunteers are needed to staff a variety of educational booths, children’s craft activities and information tables to acquaint event attendees with the Refuge. Dependability and ability to independently handle assignments required.
Shifts are usually from two to four hours in length. Events take place both on and off Refuge lands, throughout southeast Michigan. If you enjoy wildlife and nature, interacting with the public, and promoting the Refuge this is the volunteer position for you!
Age Requirement: Age 12 years old and up (15 and younger must be accompanied by a guardian). For safety purposes, minors will never be allowed to work alone or with just one other volunteer, unless it is their guardian.
