Volunteer Position Overview
About This Position
Volunteers provide informal interpretative tours to guests in the historic venues. Light housekeeping, maintenance and record keeping duties in each of the historic venues may be required.
The venues include the Visitor Center, Von Bayer Fisheries Museum, the Booth House, the Fish Rail Car, replica Ice House, the Yellowstone Boat, and the underwater viewing area. Volunteers are expected to read and follow the Volunteer Handbook provided to them as well as attend training and volunteer meetings. This is primarily a visitor services volunteer position - providing tours and historical and fish culture information to our 190,000 summer visitors.
Volunteers are expected to fill 36-40 hours per week, per RV campsite.
