Volunteer Position Overview
About This Position
We are looking for 2-person teams to help staff the visitor center and to help with fish production duties. One person would work in the visitor center and the other would help outside with grounds maintenance, building maintenance, and fish production duties. We ask that each team member provide a minimum of 24 hours of volunteer work per week and stay for a minimum of 3 months.
In exchange for your services, you will be provided with a full hook up campsite--level gravel lot, picnic table, 50-30 amp service, water and sewer hook ups. There is also a volunteer services building for laundry and interaction with other volunteers.
Duties include: meeting/greeting public; answering questions; performing majority of cleaning (including public restrooms); minor maintenance (depending on skillset); helping with events and tours; raceway/tank cleaning; moving, weighing, and feeding fish; grounds and building maintenance. Must be able to bend, stoop, use ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
