Region 2 MOCC Schedule

Student spaces in USFWS-sponsored courses are filled with USFWS personnel first, collaborators and other DOI personnel second. If you work for one of the other DOI bureaus, contact your watercraft lead. Dates are subject to change.

Course attendees must be: (a) able to wear a personal flotation device (PFD) and perform manual tasks while in the water, (b) on official duty (thus covered by worker's compensation), and (c) able to legally operate a motorized vehicle.

SAF4102 – Motorboat Operator Certification Course at Lake Havasu City, Arizona:

  • MOCC – online classroom Session 1 via Teams (your desk; about 4 hours) = 16 April 2024
  • MOCC – online classroom Session 2 via Teams (your desk; about 4 hours) = 18 April 2024
  • MOCC – in-person field practical (Lake Havasu City, AZ; 16 hours minimum) = 23 and 24 April 2024

FWS-SAF4B02 – Motorboat Operator Certification Course - Blended at Lake Havasu City, Arizona:

  • MOCC – (Blended) online course completion deadline = 23 February 2024
  • MOCC – (Blended) online orientation via Teams = 29 February 2024
  • MOCC – (Blended) in-person field practical (Lake Havasu City, AZ) = 5 and 6 March 2024

SAF4A02 - MOCC – Airboat Operator Module at Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, Arizona:
