COURSE SESSION
Target Audience:
DOI Employees who are interested in becoming a Resource Advisor (READ).
Summary and Objectives:
Those interested in becoming a Resource Advisor (READ) must receive supervisor approval to deploy or to join the roster of eligible responders; therefore interested staff should consult with their supervisor before requesting this course. This is the first course in the DOI Resource Advisor curriculum. A wired network connection is recommended for this course.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the potential roles of a Resource Advisor (READ) within the context of the incident.
- Identify the range of natural and cultural resources a Resource Advisor (READ) may encounter at an incident
- Briefly describe regulatory frameworks applicable to a particular incident type
- Learn how to prepare for deployment.
Prerequisite:
FEMA training courses IS 100, IS 200
