MOCC Airboat Module Instructor Course

Target Audience:

Experienced airboat operators who have completed the Motorboat Operator Instructor Certification Course (MOICC) or approved equivalent.

Summary and Objectives: 

The MOCC Airboat Module Instructor Course is targeted toward experienced airboat operators who have completed the Motorboat Operator Instructor Certification Course (MOICC) or approved equivalent. Since the primary objective is to qualify individuals to present MOCC Airboat training to other DOI personnel, the course stresses on-the-water instructional techniques and classroom presentations. This course is only offered in an On-the-Job (OJT) format during the conduct of a MOCC Airboat Module and can only be scheduled through the Regional or Bureau Watercraft Safety Coordinator. 

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Train personnel in instructional techniques and presentations and qualify them to serve as MOCC Airboat instructors.
• Review with attendees, the classroom and on-the-water requirements of the MOCC Airboat Module, emphasizing instructional goals and objectives.
• Safely and efficiently conduct the airboat training.
