The Prairie Science Class

The Prairie Science Class (PSC) uses the local prairie wetlands ecosystem to blend science, math, language arts, health, and art.

  • Students are bussed to the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and back for half of their school day, every day of the school year.
  • The remainder of their subjects are taught to them at Cleveland School.
  • PSC students spend part or all of their time at the prairie outside in the field, every day of the school year.
  • Fergus Falls School District teachers instruct PSC students at Cleveland Elementary and at the prairie.
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service educators provide indoor and outdoor classroom leadership weekly
