Wings Over Muscatatuck celebrates the peak of the songbird migration through Indiana on the second weekend in May. Most programs take place on Saturday, May 13, and include bird walks, live birds of prey programs, guided van tours to an eagles nest, birdhouse building for youngsters, the Junior Duck Stamp contest awards ceremony, children's activities, a bat program, and much more. The festival brochure has the complete list of programs for the event. On Friday morning, May 12, there will be a guided birding van tour by reservation only, and on Friday afternoon there will be a Big Tree guided hike. On Sunday, May 14, by reservation only, there will be a half-day tour of Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge near Madison, IN. The tours are limited to a small number of people so register early.
