When: Saturday, June 10, 2023. Reserve your spot starting April 25.
Where: at the Jim Schmidt Boardwalk Trailhead/Pearl River Turnaround Fishing Access Site, 70242 Atlas Road, Pearl River, LA 70452
Cost: For a per child rodeo registration fee of $10 which supports the Friends of Louisiana Wildlife Refuges Inc., children receive a t-shirt, bait, the use of a fishing pole, and the whole family gets lunch. Prizes are given for children's age categories, for categories of fish, as well as overall biggest fish.

PLEASE NOTE: Phone reservations are not taken. Registration is first come first served and open until full or May 26, whichever comes first. Open to children between ages four and fifteen. Families welcome but only pre-registered children are allowed to fish. Rodeo is from 7:30 - 11 a.m.
