Youth Photography Contest

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, in partnership with the Friends of Sherburne and the Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge Photography Club, invite kids, grades K-12, to participate in the Youth Photography Contest! The photos should aim to capture the beauty of the wildlife and scenery at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge and should focus on landscapes or wildlife, with critters including birds, insects, mammals or reptiles. All entries will be displayed at the Wildlife Festival on September 30th, where prizewinners will be announced. 

Rules: 
  • Must be in kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Picture must be taken on the refuge, following refuge regulations
  • The image must be taken and edited by the participant
  • Only 2 entries per person
  • Awarded one prize maximum per participant
Submissions: 
  • 8" x 10", printed on photo paper
  • Include an entry form (copyright release agreement) for each entry
  • Mail or drop off photo and entry form by 4 pm on Friday, September 1, 2023
  • Also send a digital copy of the picture to sherburne@fws.gov
  • Photos will not be returned
