Press Release
Tragic Accident in Thailand Takes One of Our Own

It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the death of one of our own. Lily Glidden worked as a volunteer for the Fish and Wildlife Service from October 2012 to April 2013, as part of the Alpine Interagency Field Team, working to recover Mexican wolves in the wild. She was recently found dead from what appears to be a tragic wildlife encounter in the Kaeng Krachan National Park in Thailand after being reported missing for five days. The cause of death is under investigation, but it appears to be from trampling by an elephant. She was photographing wildlife and doing what she loved when she died. Lily is fondly remembered as a very competent Biologist, and for her hard work, fun-loving spirit, and passion for conservation. She will be truly missed.
