DENVER — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) and Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (MTFWP) are seeking information on the shooting death of a boar grizzly bear found by hunters on the Boone and Crockett Ranch, which is private property in Dupuyer, MT.
Officials retrieved the carcass on September 4, 2018 and investigators believe that the grizzly bear was shot from West Gypsy Basin Road some time during the spring of 2018.
The Service and MTFWP are asking for anyone with information on this case, or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Dupuyer Creek area or on West Gypsy Basin Road during the spring, to call the Service Special Agent at 406-761-2286 or 1-800-TIP-MONT. Callers do not have to identify themselves and a reward of up to $2000 may be available for information leading to a conviction.
